During the last few weeks, these boots have seen me safely on a daily trail hike through 10" of fresh snow, over stretches of icy marsh-flooded trail, and through the slushy, muddy mess that remained after a thaw. My feet remained dry, and the screws on the bottom of the overshoe offer unhesitating stride confidence on all but the thickest and most glassy ice.
The only caution: My men's size 9 walking shoe fits tightly into the sz Medium overshoes as though they were made just for the shoe, which is excellent for walking purposes, (although it requires care not to remove the shoe with the boot later) but I think a sz 9 trail shoe or boot with a heavier sole would require a larger size.
Change me.
