Good Investment

8/01/23 Invested in this product for protection of my pricey UL tent and insulation for pad n sleep. When assembled properly, all modular; all works. Recommend. Practice at home many times. I dont use drawstring carry thing on trail; only for home storage. I fold footprint carefully and stow in pack. Dont take time to put in carry thing and i can squish it into backpack better. Cleans well with shake.

Not worth it

I bought this along with Hornet 1P about 2 years ago. Design is a disaster. The d-loop always come about and I have to use pegs separately to push it down. The size is not adequate to cover the floor of Hornet 1P, tried it many times and failed. I have other tents as well and footprint to tent pegging is never a problem on those ones.

Slick

Supper slick set up. Fasten it in once and just roll it up with the tent. Should really be part of the kit.

Must Have to Protect your Tent

After finding a couple of videos on YouTube showing the proper way to attach the footprint to the tent, I had no issues. Logo side is up. Size is perfect for the floor of the tent. So happy I got this to protect my tent and keep my tent floor clean and dry.

What's with the footprint?

I just bought this footprint and used it on my backpack trip this past week. I love the 2 pc tent for one person and have had great luck with it in the Olympics and Cascades, but the footprint is about 5 inches smaller at the head than the tent and about 4 inches shorter than the tent and also narrower at the foot. Is this mistake? Can't be good in the rain.

Footprint + fly = freestanding rain shelter?

I took my Hornet 2P out on a rainy late October hike in Algonquin, and found that I wished I could set up the fly alone with the poles for a quick shelter. My hiking companion mentioned that if I buy the footprint, it has the jake's feet and I can attach the poles to the footprint and then sling the fly over. Is this true???

Clips?

Great footprint, however as a lot of people have pointed out the clips at the "head" of the tent do not clip into anything when the tarp is attached. Seems like Nemo has commented on all reviews bringing this up and has not offered a solution. Please help

Great for protecting your tent

At first I like many just couldn't figure out how to fit it Contacted Nemo and recieved detailed PDF instructions straight away, like less than 30 mins :) Once you know how, its easy, adds a little weight to your backpack (185grams) but protects nicely the tent floor, So personaliy I do recomend it

Right size, wrong clips

The material itself is fine and great for a footprint. But as someone else said, the 'head' end of the footprint has two corners with black, plastic rectangular-D shaped 'clips'. According to the tag that came with the tent, the corner's use 'Jake's feet' connectors. These connectors fit the main tent just fine. But the tag instructions on how to connect the footprint do not match the actual footprint. I found another post that said to just slide the slot in the D-clip over the corner strap for the main tent. That works, but provides a very loose connection between the tent and footprint. Depending on how things slide around, the tent overlaps the footprint by up to 5" or more on the edge, rather defeating the purpose of having a protective footprint. I may stitch the corner straps on the D-clips smaller, or see if I can find some other way to tighten them so they are more securely fastened to the tent.
