Sleep like a princess.
Hauling a feather bed into the backcountry is a tough ask, but packing up the Nemo Cosmo Insulated Lite Sleeping Pad is much easier and will keep you almost as comfortable. It's four inches thick, so your shoulders and hips will stay comfortably off the ground. It's also decked out with PrimaLoft insulation to keep you extra warm when you're sleeping on cold or snowy ground. Nemo's looking out for your neck and lungs, too, so it gave the Cosmo a raised head baffle that supplements your pillow and an integrated foot pump for easy inflation and deflation without the huffing, puffing, and inevitable dizziness.

Love the Foot Pump!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
After taking this pad on 3 backpacking trips I don't know if I could ever go back to blowing up a sleeping pad by mouth again. The foot pump is so handy and fills up the pad very quickly. I tend to use the pump sideways so I can get the maximum air out of each step on the pump. Once the pad is inflated, close the valves and you're good to go!
Another feature I love is the quick deflate valve. There's nothing worse than spending 5 minutes to squeeze the excess air out of your pad in the morning. With the Nemo Cosmo pad you can have you pad deflated, rolled up, and in your pad easily within a minute.
The insulation was very nice to have for camping up on the mountains in below freezing weather. I was quite comfortable on the pad and felt no cold air coming through from the ground.
The built in pillow is another great feature to have with this pad. For awhile I've packed a small pillow with me while backpacking. With the Nemo's built in pillow I often just toss my jacket or shirt over it and sleep very comfortably.
The pad feels extremely durable and should last years of backpacking around the Pacific Northwest.
New go-to mat.
This is a thick-skinned comfortable pad. It's definitely replacing my previous mat as my go-to mat. Previous mat was equally comfortable, and actually lighter and smaller, but makes squeeky noises, is slightly slippier than this NEMO version. Happy with this mat and happy to have it be my go-to mat.
NEMO Cosmo Insulated Lite Pad
This is the first Nemo product I've bought. I am very impressed. I have only used it for 2 nights, but so far, so good. The foot pump worked great. Way more comfortable than a Camprest. It is a little loud, if you move, but I'm the only one in our group that noticed the krinkle noise.
Wow... Awesome backcountry Pad
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Such a great pad. Super light pad considering it has a foot pump built in!? Super nice to have at high altitudes when you are out of breath from hiking all day. And the loft this thing has is great. I never had a hip touch the ground (I am a side sleeper). The foot pump is super nice too! Easy to hang out and drink a beer while you air up your pad! The pillow baffle is a nice touch. I forgot my pillow once and the baffled did fine for me. If you need a super light pad with all the features, this is it!
