Description

Behold the softness.

You didn't know a sleeping pad under two pounds could feel so comfy. But it does: the NEMO Equipment Cosmo Air Sleeping Pad inflates to a generous three-inch thickness, yet it packs down small and weighs just 800 grams in your pack. Horizontal baffles support your body's contours and won't bounce around as you shift, and the pad's thickness is an ample buffer between you and the bumpy ground. An integrated foot pump inflates the pad, and a deflation valve flattens it in a snap.

built in pump easy to use, fits in stuff sack easily. has a pillow baffle at opposite end of pump. and is rated 30 -40 degrees. seems comfortable and not as noisy as my big agnes or thermarest - seems a little heavier. will let you know if it is worth the weight to carry.

I have the Nemo Cosmo Insulated pad and their foam pillowtop. After a few too many sore-back-mornings on Thermarest pads, tried the Big Agnes Insulated pad (not the Q-Core) only to find out it didn't insulate well and was a pain to blow up -- especially at altitude! Bought the Nemo last year and have been very well pleased since. Easy to blow up using the built-in foot pump, it is easily adjustable via the bleed valve at the other end and quickly deflates for packing when the rubberized plug is popped out. Last Father's Day, my daughters bought me the Nemo Pillowtop, which adds an inch of open cell foam cushion and a comfortable microfiber cover. Talk about decadence! I sleep incredibly well on this combo. On our most recent camping trip, night time temps in the upper teens caused no discomfort whatsoever. When it's time to pack up, the whole thing rolls up small enough to fit in my old Thermarest stuff sack! After several uses, the Nemo Cosmo Insulated pad is holding up very well and is highly recommended -- with the Pillowtop added it's just plain luxurious!

Matp181044, Just to clarify does the Nemo Cosmo Insulated pad and the pillow top both role up to fit in the old thermarest stuff sack? If so do you have an estimation of what that size is? Thanks so much!

Hi iwap -- I did roll both the Nemo Cosmo and Pillowtop up together and it fit in a Thermarest bag designed for a 25x77x3 inch pad -- so rolled up size is approx. 26x7. While that works great for car or canoe camping, if I were backpacking, or bike/motorcycle camping I would just leave the Pillowtop at home and pack the Cosmo into the much smaller sack it comes with. Hope that helps!

I own the nemo Cosmo and the Nemo Cosmo insulated pad for colder weather. I have to say, it is comparable to the exped pad as far as weight and comfort but the Nemo pad has so many Better designs. The plug in the top right lets you release the air out of your pad in about half a second, and its all gone ready to be packed up. The pump works really well, i can fill it up in about a minite with consistant pumping. Nemo has become my brand to go to, i love their focus for innovation in their products.

This pad is easy to pump up and you won't be out of breath thanks to the foot pump. I sleep like a baby on this and never have to worry about a bad nights sleep again:) Only downside is its super wide (25 inches) so if you have a small backpacking tent fitting another pad would be a challenge.

This pad is great. It's so much nicer than my old Thermarest- no more pressure pains in the middle of the night! It's so plush and comfortable that it's responsible for convincing my non-camping mother to go camping.

The foot pump works well, although adds bulk in terms of packed size. I also, cannot for the life of me, fit this back into the sack it came in. I paid close attention when unrolling it, but just can't get it to fit. Kind of a bummer, but getting/making a stuff sack to accommodate it isn't too big of a deal.

4 stars because of the stuff sack issue and not having used it for long yet- I can't attest to durability just yet.
