Neff originally designed the Flipper Sunglasses for spotting porpoises, but they were so well received by the aquatic-mammal set that it decided to release them for consumption by the seething minions. Enjoy.

If only he wasn't blind...

Left a star off because I must tighten the floppy more often than I like. Otherwise I enjoy the cheese these bring to my driving. Got another set to boot for my buddy...but his prescription is too bad. Which is good for you and your driving!

Casual Use Just Don't Drive with it

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

... As other reviewers have noted, there is a distracting amount of light that comes in around the shaded lens. So this one isn't recommended for driving. Unless you're simply driving your friends insane with envy.

Also an added note: due to there being 2 lenses, it does feel heavy at times. Just a heads up in case you're concerned about that sorta thing.

Otherwise, it's several shades of awesome.

Sick shades

The 'Blocked' are fun cheep shades. The clear lenses help keep the snow out of your eyes when your taking and evening sled and the sun has just gone down.

These glasses work great. You dont even have to take them off when you walk inside! They also give people around you a good laugh and some serious 'shade envey'.

Also at this price all my friends want some now.

I wear my sunglasses at night

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Though less than sub-optimal at keeping sunlight out due to the double lens design (sunlight passes between the two creating glare), these are an excellent conversation piece. I would strongly advise this purchase if you're going for the Corey Hart look, but still want to be able to flip your shades to the "up" position when you need to get your bearings.

These are awesome

Ok, so not the most flattering sunglasses in the world, but they are SO FUN. You are going to get looks when you wear them with the shaded part up. That's the point, right? I got a pair for my boyfriend and he loves them, although I think they have sort of a feminine lens shape. Oh well. I wear mine all the time too.

I bought them for the coolness factor and find them totally practical!!! I forget to take them off because I can see just fine out of them with the shades flipped up. Get as many as you can now!!!

Little Trouble in Big China

I ordered two pair for use as Christmas gifts, the Matte Black and Crystal. Am happy with the purchase; however, the Matte Black pair arrive with one of the ear pieces already broken. The joint between the ear piece and the frame is made of a soft, somewhat pliable plastic (as are the rest of the components of the glasses), so probably not the most reliable design/material to use there. But, I suppose you can't expect much when paying such a small price for a pair of glasses. The glasses are a really awesome and fun design, sure to stand out when with your friends. The lenses are pretty crisp and clear also. However, just don't expect them to last forever. As always, Back Country was great to deal with regarding getting a new pair, which arrived within 10 days of me receiving the initial pair. Thanks BC!

Matte Black is a defective model

I ordered 6 pairs of these at Christmas, everyone loved them. The pair i got for myself was the matte black. Note that the matte black version is not a harden plastic material unlike the others. The first time i went to put them on the left arm broke off. I get a really good deal when they were on sell at Christmas, the return policy requires me to pay shipping, which is more than i paid for the glasses.

The other versions - are great!

    just what the doctor ordered

These are more of party sunglasses than a casual every day sunglass. They fit great and I have a pretty small face. I found it distracting to constantly be seeing a glowing piece of plastic around the edges of the lens. But for the price, I'll suck it up.

      Flippers

if you're thinking about buying these, do it. but buy 2. cause your friend might try to steal your steeze and pop these little things right off your face. then all you gotta do is take out your other pair and show him who's boss.

Is there only one set of lenses, the shade one? When you flip them up is there a clear lens left in the frames or is that empty?
