The Naxo nx01 Alpine Touring Binding returns this season as a new standard in DIN releasable bindings. You can walk in the Naxo equally well in either alpine or AT boots. The crux of its design is an innovative Virtual Rotation System that features three pivot points under the toe piece. This allows for a totally natural stride. You experience less leg strain, so you'll tour farther and faster. This high-performance binding bears a full alpine toepiece, a maximum DIN setting of 12. Super strong Hi-fiberglass reinforced plastic makes the Naxo more durable than ever. The Naxo's bombproof construction features a heel piece that locks down against the boot as opposed to the tail of your ski, preventing an accidental switch into touring mode while you're schralping turns. Adjust climbing posts easily with a ski pole to three different angle settings depending on the steepness of the terrain. Includes standard 94mm brakes. Skis with a waist of 95mm and above require wide brakes, sold separately. The small fits boot soles between 240-284mm , medium 284-324mm, and large 324-354mm. Your boot-sole length should be stamped into the side of your boot.

Bottom Line: Don't compromise-get full downhill safety, touring efficiency, and AT functionality.

good bindings, just don't expect them to last

Title pretty much sums it up. Been through two pairs; the second pair was warranty on the first. Second pair broke after two seasons in the backcountry. They should sell three of them to a box so you can carry an extra.

I've been using these for last 2 months and have been very happy with purchase. This my first pair of AT bindings. I was reluctant to purchase at first with some negative reviews on durability but I have no problems.

My boss has the Freiche's and I would say the climbing heel features on the naxo are better and easier to use. I can use my pole to operate most of the heel angle adj. Climbing is smooth. The DIN is kind of on the soft side of the scale so if are at limit on regular bindings, I would go up a notch.

Installation was easy. Easiest install of bindings i ever had.

I've used them twice at the resort on big powder days and no loss of performance. I'm sure on a hard pack day you would feel the flex in binding.

Naxo...negative

These were my first BC bindings and they worked great with my regular boots. The climbing was as natural as they describe. I upgraded to some Garmont Adrenaline's and the only way I could get the binding to lock onto my heel was to pull up on it with a hand (it really sucks to do that in deep snow after a yard sale). Then I cracked a heelpiece with very little force. Naxo was kind enough to replace it, but I sold them and bought the freeride and couldn't love it more! If you ski hard, you'll need something beefier. Great binding for the smaller ladies though...
