I took this jacket out on a quick afternoon hike along the Snow Lakes trail in Washington. Conditions were varied - warm in the sun, crossing patches of snow along the trail, and much colder in the shade once the sun went down.
The packability of this jacket was a huge bonus for trail running / short hiking since there was no point to wearing it in the sun. Every time we'd stop for a break, I'd pull the jacket out and it did a great job at breaking the wind. While running back in the cooler weather, it was light enough to not get in the way or cause any unnecessary sweating.
I wish there was a full zip version, or something where the front piece didn't come all the way up in your mouth when the hood was up. Besides that, it was a good fit. A bit loose, but that's to be expected from a windbreaker pullover like this.
I'd use it again on light runs where I need an extra layer during breaks, or on summer hikes. It weighs practically nothing so it's not a big deal to carry this jacket in your bag (or even stuffed into a pocket).
