Nau designed the Women's Down Shirt to be toasty-warm, ultra-light, and perfectly fitted without the bulk. The 100% recycled 22-denier ripstop shell keeps the weight and the bulk down without sacrificing durability. Varied baffles keep the down where it should be and add a unique look. The icing on the cake is the high-grade 850 fill-power down that will keep you snug as a bug in a rug.
Bottom Line: Puff, not bulk.

Super thin, light weight, very compressible and amazingly warm. I love the longer feminine cut and the flip up collar. I also appreciate that there isn't a giant logo stitched to the chest - it gives it a more refined look. It says "recommended use streetwear", but I layer it under the Nau asylum jacket and it's perfect for the slopes.

After sporting some of the more city oriented down jackets for a few winters, ie the Gotham and Metropolis jackets from The North Face, my wife was looking for something different for the winter season. I picked up one of these for her and she is stoked. She loves the sleek look, and finds it to be just as warm without the bulk of her other down jackets. I own the men's version of the NAU Down Shirt and have found it to be one of the most versatile items of clothing I own. I agree with the previous reviewer in that this is a great stand along piece and also layers very nicely. If your spouse needs a jacket, pick her up one of these.
