Native Watercraft designed the sit-on-top Manta Ray 14.5 Kayak to track and maneuver well for fun on the water. Use the Manta Ray as a platform for SCUBA diving or snorkeling or just playing in the surf. A lightly rockered hull allows this kayak to ride gracefully over waves. Native Watercraft added volume in the bow to accommodate a spacious dry hatch. Plus, this added hull volume means the Manta Ray 14.5 rides drier than most sit-on-tops, cruises fast, and feels stable. Keep a cooler in the recessed stern and stay out all day without going hungry or thirsty. A bucket-like seat, padded armrests, cup holders, and easy-to-adjust, large foot braces keep you comfortable in your Manta Ray Kayak during epic adventures.

Bottom Line: Enjoy mellow rivers, lakes, ocean coastline while riding your Manta Ray 14.5 Kayak.

This is a killer river boat! Most sit on tops are made for flat water only, surf only, or river only. The Manta Ray's deliver on the flats, but its like no other sit on top on moving water. The boat's bow easiley rides over waves and holes on the river or in the break zone. The Bow is a "sheding water" design, meaning it drains off water fast! The mulit chines make turning easy or on comand. It is not a sluggish boat at all like a lot of sit ons that are made strictly for flatwater. Basically, this is a well balanced, predictable handling boat for a variety of conditions. Add the rudder if you paddle more than 75% flat water.

I would like to use this as a fishing platform in the salt; primarily bays & backwaters but, when the spirit moves me, a surf launch or two might be in order... Having said that, here's the question; "Of the three colors available, which is the most readily seen (read - the most conspicuous (sp))?Thanks in advance!! Charlie
