Convenient and cute.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I initially bought this thinking it was going to be a little larger than it is, but it's perfect. I love that I can fit the bottle in my cup holder and it isn't a hassle to carry it around. The mouth of the bottle is still big enough to get some solid gulps in without having to suffer from the spills of a regular sized Nalgene. It's definitely worth purchasing simply for the convenience.

Perfect little bottle

It is the perfect little bottle for carrying electrolyte drinks. Probably too little to use as main source for water, but the right size for any other beverage. Super durable and easy to clean!

Great Little Bottle

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bottle is just the mini-me of the large 1L Nalgene bottles. It's just as tough, and just as easy to clean. Perfect size when you just need a little something to drink with you. I've even used it for warm drinks when camping...but it's not insulated and hot-hot drinks are probably be a bad idea, so tread carefully. Most often I use it camping for drink mixes like Spark or Gatorade, or for clipping to a gear loop so I have something to drink at my next belay station without bringing too much extra weight (see pic).

Doh, Wrong Size but Works Great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yea, it was a late night order so I could replace a headlamp that was left on a peak. I wanted a couple more Backcountry.com 32 oz. bottles, but didn't look at the size when ordering. Man I was a bit surprised when I opened the box to a miniature bottle. I actually thought they had sent me them by mistake or as a souvenir. After looking at the invoice and my online order I knew then that I did a Homer Simpson. As it is I've found a good use for them by putting my powder drink mix in them, so I'm actually happy with em. I love Craig Armstrong's use (review below) for his awesome climbing cat partner.

Stay Hydrated

I've found the tiny size is perfect for taking along a pet-specific water source. The cap makes a nice little bowl too.

Surprised by size

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really liked this bottle. I did expect a larger size as I have the 16 oz narrow mouth and it's marked for 16, but probably holds closer to 20 oz. This one is marked for 14 and holds 16 to the neck, according to Nalgene's website. In any event, I don't have it anymore, because 1-2 months after buying it, I dropped it apparently right on the seam on the bottom and it cracked. I was shocked, as I've had the other bottle for years and only the loop part broke; the plastic is perfect. I used both at work, so lighter use. I did take the older one along in a backpacking trip, but didn't have this one long enough to do the same. I may try another of these since I prefer the wide mouth because of the ease of cleaning, and will update if I do try another.
Btw, I dropped only from the height of my hand to the floor of the elevator. It's not as though it was from an abnormal height. The plastic does seem thinner than the narrow-mouth I own.

Update: I did get another, and it's held up better. No issues in a few months of use.

Great Size

It's tough and has a wide mouth just like your trusty 32oz Nalgene but this bad boy will fit the cupholders in your car, stow in your lunchbox, and works really well as a flask in a pinch.

I use the ultralight version (old-style white material) as my coffee mug on the trail.

Great for Kids!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This mini Nalgene is perfect for kids. My 5 y/o love it because now he's got a bottle just like mine to throw stickers on and carry with him in the outdoors. Perfect size, and it's got the reliability of a Nalgene bottle to withstand all the abuse he can give it

Fantastic Flagon

If you like transportable water, this is a potential bottle for you. What sets it apart from other water transportation is the lack of leaking and the cool goat logo. From the low low price of $10.09, you can't go wrong.

Love my Goat Nalgene

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

On my latest trip, I was very jealous of my friends Nalgene's. They prove to be perfect when measuring amounts of water for cooking, or putting up a line for a bear bag. I am once again, a Nalgene loyalist.

I love these.

They have a cool little loop that you can attach a carabiner for longer climbs as well as an assortment of accessories so you have straws, etc

I've had mine for YEARS and it's been everywhere from Big Walls in Yosemite to the deserts of Moab.

I think Nalgene offers a lifetime warranty as well.

I just wish backcountry.com carried the REALLY big one's like the one pictured.

Any ideas on that backcountry.com'ers?

Thank you!

Can someone who own this bottle tell me...

Can someone who own this bottle tell me what diameter it has (the bottle itself, not the mouth) ?

I finally received an answer from Nalgene. Here it is, for the people who are interested :
"For the 16 ounce wide mouth Tritan™ bottle, the diameter is 2.72 inches (69.1 mm), the height with cap attached is 6.82 inches (173.2 mm), and the empty weight is about 89 grams (3.14 ounces)"

Is the soft plastic part of the cap (the...

Is the soft plastic part of the cap (the part that bends) strong enough to hook a carabiner and hang on your pack without breaking?
