Why did Nalgene make the Wide Mouth 16oz Water Bottle out of ultra-durable Lexan material? What if you accidentally drive over your backpack at the trailhead? Your sunglasses will be shattered, your iPod will be toast, but chances are that your Nalgene Water Bottle will have just a dent in the side. You'll still be able to get on with your trip (without sunglasses or music). *Do not use with boiling liquids, and do not put near the heating element in a dishwasher.
Bottom Line: Had you put your sunglasses in the Nalgene Wide Mouth 16oz Water Bottle, they would still be whole.

It's a Nalgene! I like that there are so many colors available. It didn't leak despite somehow turning itself upside down in a side pocket on my pack. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean.
