Quick and easy day bag
Bag has every feature needed for a quick day bag or school/work bag. Laptop sleeve is perfect, water bottle holders, easy access zipper storage inside for organizing and the quick open lid is probably the best feature. Went back and forth between sizes but the 15l ended up being perfect for my use

Amazing pack. Amazing quality
I bought this to have a small backpack for my computer, accessories etc. for when I fly. The quality is amazing. The price is so much lower than other comparable packs. It really is a killer deal. I don't see any issues with this pack. Just know that it's small.

Incredible bag - great size and design
As expected, the bag is thoughtfully designed and feels like it will last forever. I got it for a small everyday carry or daypack. Longtime Dana fan and still satisfied. The "rip" opening is convenient and a great design. I'd say closing it is a little cumbersome, you have to do it in two separate pulls for each side - you can see the guy in the video fumble a little, too - but the easy access is nice. I thought I would want a real, full closure instead of just the magnets, but so far so good. Burly - almost over-reinforced, which doesn't seem necessary for such a little pack, but will likely last forever and I always appreciate over-engineering for longevity. Perfect size - fits more than expected. My 16" laptop and a tablet in the sleeves plus a days worth of layers or extra clothes, binos, camera, whatever. Great little daypack.

Very good bag with a few quirks
I really like the bag. The best feature is obviously the “rip” of the main compartment and how fast you can get access the problem is that closing the lid takes a lot more time and precision than normal backpacks as the lid has to be lined up well. I think perhaps a different, stiffer material than Robic around the zipper area would have been better. There’s also only the outside slip pocket and one mesh pocket inside. That’s it for organization. I wish there was a few more organizational features. Overall, I really like the bag and think it looks cool, but would have liked to see those improvements.

Nice military style, lousy fabric
Glad that I bought the 15L second gen model just before the third gen came out, which looks too space age-y for me. Love the streamlined look of second gen. Have no issues with only one bottle sleeve. Would've liked wider inside sleeves for small books or pouches. My main complaint is that the Robic fabric is not robust enough. Dropped my bag sideways and my laptop (with blunt corners) ripped through the unpadded part of the back panel (highlighted in blue in picture). This happens more often than you'd think. I have done this with four bags including this one. The only one that didn't cause an open rip is another MR with Cordura fabric. So now I put my laptop in another sleeve not to protect the laptop, but to avoid another rip. Short of changing the fabric in future iteration, I'd suggest at least lining the inside of that panel, like the bottom of the bag. A bigger change would be to pad the whole of the back.

Review of Older Version...
I apparently have the older version of this pack, but I do like it quite a bit anyway. Mine does not have the laser cut Mollie grid on the front instead it has one row of Daisy chain fabric zone to one side that you could clip a few things to I would say it has just the right amount of internal organization, the front pocket is fairly decent even though it is a sideways pocket thing stand there fairly well and it's a great quick access spot and there are two small pouches on the inside on the sides that are also very handy. The one place I got a little irritated. There was nothing was the top flap lid where you can feel that there's enough fabric between the two layers to put in a small pocket for sunglasses or something like that to seem like a wasted opportunity to put in a pocket that pretty much everyone would love. But all that said you know you deal with the fact that it's not USA made but if you can get around that this is a great pack and oddly enough fits my 16 inch MacBook Pro

Great size
I bought my pack for Disneyland trips and it has worked out wonderfully. I love that it holds everything I need for the day without being too big.

Perfect Size
Only have had this for a month now. Love all the inside pockets as they are in the correct spots. The outside of the pack has no wear on it. It is the perfect size for out on the town or going to work as it fits in my locker. The only fabric is extremely tough but things like feathers or lint sticks to it. I will update this review if it catches. It holds heavy weights very well. Stanley Growler full of beer and all my other stuff and it didn’t feel like I had that much weight in it. My back was still happy so win win. I will be buying another in a new color. Just love the little thing.

Excellent day bag
Bought this for a trip to NYC and it fit our tripod, small umbrellas, coats, water and miscellaneous small items. Small enough to be maneuverable and a personal item for air travel but big enough to pack for a day trip. Very durable and rugged build but still simple and minimal enough to be stylish, love the minimalist design and capability. Double zipper main rip-zip panel access entry can be a bit cumbersome/finicky to open without using one side zip at a time, perhaps bigger zipper would help? Love the magnets! Would love to see this same minimalist design in the 24L. Overall excellent mini pack!

How would this bag, the 15L, do as a "book bag" for a college student?

This pack seems fantastic, I just can't seem to find any information on how weather and water resistant it is. I often forget my umbrella and need a bag that can handle alittle bit of weather.

Is the material water resistant? Will it soak in light rain?

I understand the bag is not made for heavy items, etc. I just want to carry a 10 pound Yes4All plate (5.7 x 8.9 x 0.9 inches) and a 20oz plastic water bottle, my keys and a snack, that's it. Thanks!

Will a 15.6" laptop fit or is 15" the absolute maximum?

Is this bag rated for carrying ruck plates or other heavy weight in the laptop or document compartments? Is there a maximum recommended weight that you can carry in the bag?

Can Rip Ruck 15 be washed in a washing machine? If not, what type of cleaning can you recommend? Thank you

Does the "forest" color match the green of the Army OCP uniform? Per my reading of the current AR670-1 bags and packs must match "one of" the colors of the OCP pattern. I know black is approved but I don't want another black bag. Thanks.
