Folds down thin, is very safe and stable in use
I like that this canister stand is made of durable metal, yet is still light weight. It functions universally for large and small canisters with a wide footprint for superb stability. It's so easy to knock a stove down, but not with the Universal Canister Stand. Add this to your kit for peace of mind.

Great stove stand.
Great light pot stand. Durable, lightweight & very very stable on most surfaces. Adds a lot of stability to the pocket rocket stove, especially with wider pots or uneven ground. Highly recommended.

A must have; should come with stove TBH

Stands like this are a necessity for camp stoves. A real travesty they're not included with stoves themselves. This one from MSR works great and prevents heart-breaking food-prep accidents while in use. Its design keeps the canister really close to the ground while giving it a significantly larger foot print for stability so whatever's on it rock-stable.

I'll be using this whenever I use my stove. It makes the stove feel sturdy. I'm very glad this product came out because I've had some spills in the past. It folds up small which is also a plus.

A tippy pot? I think not...
The canister stand worked well to keep our Pocket Rocket Deluxe stove and our pot upright and stable on the inevitably uneven ground where we camped along the CDT trail through the Wind Rivers in June. We frequently wiggled one leg of the stand into the dirt to even it out and the stable base ensured we never lost our pot of boiling water. Although we've only used it with the MSR canisters, I expect the stand would work with any other brand of fuel canister.

Almost perfect, but definitely recommend
This canister stand is great. Holds the can very secure and adds extra stability when I have to use less than flat cook surfaces. One possible improvement that could be made was the length of the arm with the spring loaded clamp. If it was a centimeter shorter, it would be able to fit in the MSR 1.3L boiler both vertically and horizontally making a contained cook set.
