Surelock TR3- Not strong or easy to use

I have used the old version and the new ones about 10 days each for hiking and snowshoeing for less than 100 km's (60 miles) and both have failed on me. I typically only have them extended to the first or second setting so not extended all the way and they have both bent on me in not very challenging terrain. Also, the release assembly is really difficult to operate as it gets clogged with water and/grit and you can't easily clean as the poles don't come apart.

The locking mechanism never slips once locked in which is a plus, but when you have to really fight to push or pull the poles apart, the quick trigger release idea goes out the window. Also, the new grips are more ergonomic than the old one and feel much nicer, but that's all I have for pluses.

I have used other poles for far longer without ever having issues with them bending and would not recommend or use these again.

The poles get two stars because the company tried to improve upon the last product and because they have a great warranty.
