Thanks to a full carbon-fiber construction, the MSR Overland Carbon Trekking Poles are lightweight and strong for your weeklong expeditions or day treks. These three-section hiking poles have anti-shock wrist straps so your arms don't feel like they're holding a jackhammer each time you pole. Collapse the Overland Carbon Poles and strap them to your pack once you hit level ground. These MSR poles' grips are at a seven-degree angle to lessen wrist-stress.

Bottom Line: MSR's Overland Carbon Trekking Poles lessen the strain on your legs and wrists, without adding weight to your hike.

Broke after second use

these are my first pair of trekking poles, first time i used them i could tell a noticeable difference in my trekking capabilities. However, the second time i used this product, one of the poles became stuck in river bed, and when i tried to remove it, it snapped in two. i was very surprised as i have used many MSR products in the past ranging from tents, stoves, and water treatment in which each product was very well made and if necessary capable of more than the average wear and tear. the good news is when i returned home i informed backcountry( who i bought the poles from) and they sent me a new pair free of charge. i have yet to test the new pair however i think the first pair breaking was due to a fluke

Featherweight poles

Had my eye on getting these for some time. (Gotta face getting old at some point.) Decided to buy after having one of my knees 'scoped and finding these on sale. Impressively light, only concern is the ribbing on the grip. Either I'll file them down to smooth or wear gloves or moleskin on my palm. Feels like a blister waiting to happen.
