MSR Needle Stake Kit

I was very pleased with these. They seemed much stronger than the aluminum stakes I normally use, and they seem very light weight. None of these bent at all on my last week long trip. Of course they are quite thin ( as expected ) so there would be some soil types for which they would be inappropriate.

Got a set of these with my Zoid 1 tent, and have been pleasantly surprised by how easy they have been to get into the ground - and that I haven't been able to bend any yet. So far, better than any steel or aluminum wire pegs I've ever used, and work in any normal ground. Apart from snow pegs these are all that's needed.

I was skeptical at first and a bit worried that these “needle” stakes would not hold well. Just in case, I packed both these along with the standard stakes that came with my North Face 1P tent just in case. I was pleasantly pleased at how well these stakes “held up” or “held down” the tent actually. I was so pleased with how these stakes performed, I ordered another set for my 2P tent.
