Description

Extend the life of your tent or grab a rain fly and go light-and-fast.

Use the MSR Mutha Hubba to protect the bottom of your Mutha Hubba tent, or use it as a ground cloth for super lightweight shelter setups. MSR tents are known for their bomber durability, but even the burliest tent floor needs a little help when faced with sharp rocks and debris. Lay this water-resistant footprint on the ground, set your Mutha Hubba on top, and clip the pole ends through the reinforced eyelets and you're good to go. Low on weight and packable by design, this footprint hardly takes up any room in your bag, so you won't have an excuse to leave it at the trail head.

Worth the cheese $ : )

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Plain and simple, these puppies are worth the $50. Naturally, it fits my Motha Hubba tent perfectly. It is quite thick and durable, but folds up nice and small and is not too heavy. It has eyelets for stakes, which is nice. It fits perfectly in the loose fitting/oversized stuff sack that came with my Motha Hubba, which I love! Not sure why MSR doesn't include these with their tents!

Hate to buy it, but love having it

I only ding this by a star because of the price. I'd been using a couple of lightweight reflective tarps (@$12 each), but finally broke down and got the footprint. It has a few advantages over the tarps. It's about the same weight as one tarp, sized perfectly so rain cannot ever drip off of the fly and puddle its way between tent and tarp, so you set it, and forget about it. Gotta have it, I just wish they were included with the tents.

Does this footprint contain only the 4...

Does this footprint contain only the 4 grommets on the corners or are there 8 of them to correspond to the ones on the tent? The picture of the rainfly and footprint on the mutha hubba tent shows 8 grommets, the pictures I've seen of only the footprint shows 4. Thanks.

Responded on

There are 8 grommets corresponding with the 8 pole connections from the tent to the tent floor
