MSR MSR Fusion Tent 2-Person 3-4-Season - 2007 BCS

Typical high MSR quality. Excellent vent panels. Best zippers in the business. Lack of window is a minus. Pole tubes throughout make it slower and less convenient to set up than clips, though they say it adds strength (strength for what?). Quite tight for two; best for one. Shaped for two to sleep shoulder to shoulder; you might prefer foot to shoulder. They say it will fit two Thermarests, but that's a crunch. Why don't they make the fly attach to wholly to the tent so that it is totally free-standing? Another minus, but one that MSR shares with many others.

Simply the best tent there is. My wife and I have used this in the high Pyrenees and Alps in Eurpoe as well as a very wet Scottish holiday. It cannot be beaten for value, trust us!

This tent is great. I've used it in desert summer heat, sat out howling thunder storms, and gotten a foot of snow dump on it. It's not very roomy inside, but perfectly comfortable for two people as long as you’re not both changing clothes at once. There are big windows for ventilation, great vents on tarp, and ultimate protection from the elements. This is a great year-round backpacking tent for two.

A excellent tent. This is the son of the Moss Tent Stardome II or Thunderdome II. (MSR owns them now I guess). Did a great job with durability of the fabrics and taking some weight off from older models I have owned. A premium 4 season tent that can handle just about any weather conditions. I wish the footprint extended into the vestibule area. I wish the tent rolled up 15 long instead of 20 inches. I rate the tent a 10 out of 10 for all around design and durability.
