Simple

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

A little skeptic about it at first due to the odd shape, but it simple and it works. Hot beverages can cause the lid to come off easy, but that's the only issue I have with it.

Simply done.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I really like these mugs. Very simple and very compact for mountaineering. The lid helps keep the liquids hot and gives you more time to relax and enjoy your meal.

just... a sweet little mug

It's just a mug and it's shaped weird ...and I love it.

It's insulated. The stainless makes it easy to clean. My pot is not MSR; yet, this mug still nests in perfectly when packing. My stove and matches fit inside the mug - which fits inside my pot making a great system.

It's hard to get excited over something like a mug; but, due to it's insulation properties, stainless steel, ability to nest well, no handle and relative weight... I love it.

nice feel, weird lid

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love the compactness, nestability, and warmth of these mugs. But the lid has never stayed on right, and gives continuous problems. Probably because the top is not circular, the margin for error and shrinkage is much smaller. I put some food safe caulk around the lid to hold it, but it doesn't look too hot.

Misleading Name

This mug isn't vacuum sealed, which is what I normally assume when I hear "insulated". Whoops. Nonetheless, for a mug like this, it's pretty nice. I often eat out of it rather than drink out of it but it can do both.

But beware, if you leave hot coffee inside and seal the lid, the lid can actually deform! I have two of these and one lid won't seal well anymore so it can just slip off--lame.

    Great mug

My wife and I each have one of these. They nest into our Quick 2 pot set. Easy to clean, tough to knock over, and the rubber coating makes them easy to grip (even in the rain) - all while keeping your hands away from a scalding cup of morning coffee.

      Great mug

      weird shape...great function

I'll admit, this cup has a weird shape that took a little getting used to. However it does do everything it is supposed to do, very well. As hot as I could get my coffee I still could barely even feel it through the insulating sleeve. It's quite light and seems to be pretty durable. (I haven't yet tried the accidentally running it over test) It is also very convenient for putting my various spices in when hiking. I'll definitely be buying another one of these in the near future.

Is this mug stainless steel on the inside?

You are correct. This mug is stainless steel and can be removed from it's insulative housing. The entire mug is dishwasher safe. I love this mug because it is as light as a double-wall ti mug (over 2X more expensive), can fit any hand size, packs away very easily, is super durable, and easy to drink from.
