Taking a cue from the classic Boy Scout pup tent, the MSR E-House Shelter provides lightweight weather protection for two to four people whether you set it up with trekking poles, sticks, or just sling it between a few branches. Fully taped seams, a skirted base, and a zippered entrance keep out the elements, and its ultralight design makes it ideal for a streamlined backpacking shelter or an emergency tarp on long day hikes.

Bottom Line: Take it to the E-House.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

This is awesome...

Here is my hiking background with tents. I started out with a eureka tent and it was too heavy. Then went to a hammock tent and thought it was way to awkward to sleep in. Then I used the just the fly for the hammock tent and a footprint and loved it but it was not tall enough to sit up in to cook breakfast in. Then I found this beauty...this tent allowed me to carry very little weight while providing a tent like structure that I could sit up in. This "E"house is gr"E"at. The only draw back to this that I found was that just like a tent it got too hot inside. When I woke up hot I unzipped the vent and the heat that had been trapped exited the structure. Great Shelter for ultra-lighters. Thanks MSR.
