Prepare meals for your base camp crew using MSR's BlackLite Guide Cookset. With 3- and 4-liter pots, a lid that fits both, and a PanHandler, you're set to prepare a lot more than just dehydrated soup. The BlackLite cookware's nonstick coating makes clean-up easy and grooved bottoms let you stir and sauté without fighting with a squirrelly pan. The Guide Set only weighs 29.7 ounces, which means you won't feel like you have the entire kitchen strapped to your back on the hike in. MSR's PanHandler pot lifter saves your fingers from burns, the Packtowl separates the pots during travel so they don't scratch each other, and the whole BlackLite Guide Cookset fits in the included stuff sack.

Bottom Line: Joyfully cook for your backpacking crew with MSR's lightweight BlackLite Guide Cookset.

I like my gear durable and basic (you won't catch me hiking around with a full-on spice rack) and this set fits the bill. There's plenty of room to fit your MSR firefly stove to protect it from a tight pack, and I can usually squeeze in my bag of coffee and extra matches. Cardinal backpacking rule: keep your matches and caffeine dry.

You get what you see in the photo. Two pots with a well fitting lid and a pot grabber. Grabber is a nice addition to the set so you don't have to get out the leatherman constantly. Pots heat quickly and true to the design, don't stick. Clean easily and are a perfect fit for a MSR XGK EX Multi-Fuel Stove (fuel bottle packed elsewhere) with the two pots stacked inside each other. Cooked coffee in the smaller pot and about four packages of oatmeal in the larger. Fried two / three burgers with two servings of veggies, everything cooked evenly and tasted great. Both felt a stable fit on the MSR XGK EX Multi-Fuel Stove without any additional propping or holding. Dependable, durable and complete for the price you pay. High value, great pots!
