    A touch of warmth.

Long-sleeved and lightweight, the Moxie Century Black Bolero effortlessly layers over your favorite jersey when it's chilly outside and a jacket is simply overkill. Building off previous versions, the Century Bolero features a soft thermal fabric that wicks moisture to regulate your body temperature. Toggle arm adjustments provide a snug, body-hugging fit that seals out drafts of cold air. Thumbhole cuffs lovingly wrap your wrists, killing the chill of early morning rides. Plus, there's a hidden cuff pocket for storing your cash and debit card when you transition to the café after riding.

    Soft Fabric, Some Weird Details

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I love the concept of a shrug or bolero for cycling, having used them all my life for dance! This shrug has some technical details it could do without, such as a useless pocket on the sleeve, and a draw cord around the neckline. The drawcord elastic has black plastic tippets to keep it from pulling through, and the tippets pulled off of mine the first time I tried it on. I'll be fixing them myself (or may just remove the cording), and also be adding a snap to the sleeve pocket. Also the back is cut a little full length wise, so it bunches a little, which doesn't make sense from a design perspective, but it doesn't hinder the use of this shrug either. Backcountry worked with me on the price, so I'm keeping it.

I do like the hand loops on the sleeves, the contrasting yellow trim around the wrists, and the softness of the material. This will be a cycling wardrobe alternative to another sunblock jacket I've been living in for several years now, with the added bonus it doesn't fully cover up my jersey!!!
