Will a 13" Mac Book fit in the sleeve? Hoping to use this pack for both hiking and everyday use.

You might be able to cram it in, but I'd be surprised if you could. The sleeve is intended for an iPad, which is an inch narrower and three inches shorter, so there's probably not enough room for a laptop.

I have used this pack on several fishing trips around the rockies and it does a superb job! Plenty of room for fly boxes, tippet, float, plus rain jacket, water and a snack for the day!! Loved it and not wearing a vest is a total bonus! If you want clean bag without the over kill some fishing specific bags have, this is it!

Yep FISHING!!!

I'm looking for a backpack for hike from Aspen to Crested Butte. I need a lot of lumbar support rather than most weight held with shoulder straps. Can anyone suggest a few that work for this.

I'm looking for a pack for alpine skiing. I was hoping to find a pack that could carry my shell and a day of consumables, etc., that won't get in the way on the lift. Can this bag be worn high on the back? Can you easily swing it around to the front prior to loading?

Mountainsmith's lumbar packs sit a the waist. They can't be worn high on the back. You can undo the waist belt and spin it around to the front easily.

However, My dad skis with this pack frequently and I know there is no way you can fit a ski shell and a day's-worth of food inside it. You need a bigger pack.
