The Mountainsmith Off-Piste 20 is for a backcountry skier or snowboarder carrying nothing more than the absolute necessities. The Off-Piste 20 will comfortably carry your skis or snowboard for the bootpack to the top of your couloir of choice and have just enough room left for a little food and a shell jacket. The insulated Hydro-Stash sleeve keeps your water ice-free and accessible. There's a fleece-lined pocket on top for you eyewear and a digital camera pocket on the hip-belt. An MP3 player pocket with headphone port lets you listen to tunes so you can stay psyched during the hike. An internal organizer for your shovel and probe keeps everything accessible incase of an emergency. This super-compact minimalist pack will let you concentrate on the important things, like new turns down that couloir you've been waiting for.

Bottom Line: Just the absolute necessities.

Decent Pack

this pack is really pretty nice, I have yet to use it to haul skis but it looks well constructed for the purpose. It has quite a few compartments and is comfortable with a full load. The only thing I had a problem with was the compartment for my hydration bladder, it is a bit small for a 3L bladder. Otherwise this is a great pack, and maybe I should just get a 2L bladder.
