Only the XS and the Small have the vertical shoulder srap mount for a backpack. All the rest are hip belt-attachment ONLY.
I use the size small with a Canon SD880 and mount it on my shoulder straps of my day pack. Mounts securly, does not wobble around. great little camera case.

Yes it will fit. The large size Cyber ll is the only size that will work for your G11. The medium would work if the depth wasn't .16in too small.
