The Mountainsmith Beacon SLR Camera Bag is made for outdoor photography. This well build bag has zippered closures on the main compartment and front film pocket to keep the dust outside where it belongs. The top lid opens away from your body, providing easy access to your camera for ‘once in a lifetime' moments. The Beacon comes with a shoulder strap and attachments for an optional Strappette chest harness to carry your camera securely in front of your body when you're skiing, biking or running. The Beacon is just what you need to get your camera to where the good shots are.

Good Bag, But a little too small

I bought the small one for my D80 with the 18-135 kit lens. It barely fits in the pouch. The smaller pockets are nicer, but if I were going to do it all over again, I would have bought a larger bag. Additionally, one of the reasons I bought it was that it could be chest strapped, but lacks the directions to move the cord to do so.
is the small a good fit for a canon rebel xsi?

Great bag, the usual Mountainsmith Quality. We have a Nikon D50 with the stock lens and the bag is a bit big for that, but if we add a telephoto lens it will be about right. So, with an average SLR you will have more than enough room to grow.
