IT'S GOOD!
I like a variety of Mountain House so I buy an assortment. Lasagna with Meat Sauce is a good choice to go along with the other ones I have tried I like it!

This lasagna is my absolute favorite MH ever!
I could live on this stuff it's so tasty. At least one pouch always comes with me on backpacking trips. I've even eaten it for dinner at home when is get the random craving. It reminds me exactly of the Chef Boyardee Lasagna I used to eat as a kid. Of course it didn't taste exactly like "lasagna," but it is really good regardless. The noodles are chunky and the meal satisfying. My only complaint is that a single pouch is really suited for only one person; two people splitting one pouch of this would still be hungry. I'm not a big gal (5'2" and 130 lbs) and I eat one to myself no problem. These are also spendy and I wish they were cheaper for the amount of food you get.

Adjust directions as needed
I'm glad I purchased these because it does taste great and will fill an empty tummy. But I had to adjust amount of water and cook in bag for 5 minutes longer in order to get the meat rehydrated. Will come in handy when needed, but wish they were a little healthier.

Mountain House Lasagna with Meat Sauce Review
The Mountain House Lasagna With Meat Sauce is a very well put together recipe full of flavors. After several meal consumptions, I’ve found it to be a good single serving for me, a 210 lb healthy male, after a full day of open canoe paddling on a wilderness river. The packaging is very convenient in the closable foil pouch allowing for a self contained bowl thus eliminating any need for carrying extra containers on the trip. The bag also seals well, keeping the heated water hot and resulting meal hot during the hydration process. I have found that it is important to allow at least the recommended time for hydration of the meal, and it does not hurt to allow an additional amount of time, perhaps up to 10 minutes longer, to assure complete hydration. I highly recommend this product for the great taste, the ease of preparation, the ease of transport and the convenience of a self contained and functional pouch from which to consume the product.

Used to be better
Portion had gotten smaller and the taste is not as good as before, not sure what they changed but there is a whole lot more sodium than it used to have, the old version was 5 stars, this is 4/5. Tasty, but usually still hungry after eating this.

Good meal
We use Mountain House for emergency supplies and for those times we don't want to cook or if we are camping/traveling. Very tasty for freeze dried. Best meals out there for the purpose they serve.

I have many meals good for 30 years, BUT they all have artificial stuff: ingredients, preservatives, flavoring, coloring. Now MH is "cleaner." What are the biggest health concerns with the old artificial stuff? Full, honest disclosure, please. Thanks.

I have a pouch from a few years ago and that pouch offered 2.5 servings and it had more protein and less sodium than the current pouches offered. Why did Mountain House reduce the servings per pouch and reduce the protein per serving?
