    Best meals for camping

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Best meals for camping that ive found, light weight, easy to pack and to make and taste great! This is by far the best way to buy them and get some variety.

    Bought 2!

Recvd this bucket and the classic bucket in 2 days with free shipping! Date of expiration is Nov. 2026. Mountain House meals are the best around. I always take some on my overnight hikes. Better than paying $8.99 each around my neck of the woods!

    Great deal, good food

If you are looking at this, you have had mountain house before. You know what you are getting. Great, freeze dried food that is a tasty change of pace on the trail or on the weekend campout with pals. Buy it, keep it around and use as needed, its not going bad. They claim 12+ years, but I see that as a lowball, and they will last a whole lot longer. I have one in the back of my car in case the grim reaper tries to get sneaky and break my car down in the middle of nowhere, as well as another I piece out one by one for camping.

One thing that I have heard complaints on for these types of items (deep bag freeze dried food) as well as hate myself, is how deep the bags are. You burn your hands on either the bag or the steam half the time. However, I found a PERFECT item to remedy that and it has become part of my backcountry eating repertoire, the Kung Foon (honestly I half bought it for the name). If you type GSI2260 into the search bar, you can check it out and take a look at my review. Get your speedy tasty food on!

    Lived on 'em all summer.

I took a box and a few extra of these to Alaska this summer for the fishing season. We were set-netting and living on an old wooden boat that was rescued from a dump and turned into a place to hang out and sleep between openings. These meals are all great. Super tasty, and packed with all of the nutrients you need. My friend and I ate them almost every day, we augmented most of the meals with a salmon filet, but we were often too lazy to filet one and would just go for it stock. They taste great just the way they come (I've also eaten them when out of money...), the Beef Stroganoff is the bomb, and the breakfast ones are super good too. My box came with the granola ones for the morning, and they were great. I'd highly recommend these if your going on a longer pack trip with a partner or anything of the type.

    Lived on 'em all summer.
