Love this stuff. Feeds two people, or one very hungry one. The veggies were yummy, and the meal was seasoned to perfection. Only issue I had was not stirring the food all the way after adding the water and some of the rice was clumped together. But I don't care. It still tasted great. Would get again.

      Mountain House Helper!

Mountain House meals are incredibly convenient when it comes to having meals in the backcountry. They are super easy to make and they are ready in no time! Personally, I don't add as much water as directed because I prefer it not to be runny like soup. Also, they are surprisingly way more filling than you would think! Treat yourself to some of these if you haven't already!

        Solid Meal

        • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It gets the job done, tastes pretty good as well. Out of all the meals I tried from Mountain House this one lands right in the middle. Nothing too delicious, but better than some of other meals I've tried.

        Pro Pack feature is great

I like the flavor and texture of all of the Mountain House offerings, but their "Pro Pack" option is what really separates them from the rest. It is the same food and ingredients as the other offerings, but the Pro Pack versions have the packaging vacuum packed, which creates a much tighter, smaller unit, which in turn makes packing them much easier.

On regular freeze dried foods, the packaging often expands (especially at higher altitudes), which makes them really bulky. I fix this by piercing the packaging, squeezing the air out and then taping over the hole, but then it shortens your shelf life if you don't eat them right away. But, with the Pro Packs, you never have this problem

          Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki

          • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I really enjoyed the taste. Probably one of the best Mountain House meals I use. It is a little high in salt content but it doesn't taste to salty like some meals I have had. I would definitely use this meal again.

          Tastes like Chicken!

This is a great camping/backpacking dehydrated version of everyone's favorite dish Chicken Teriyaki. Mountain House kills it as far as camping cuisine is concerned. So if you like normal chicken teriyaki, you should give 'er a shot!

            Great Flavor, not my favorite

I do like the chicken teriyaki a bunch. The rice is flavored great and is not crunchy, the chicken tastes a bit "dehydrated" I like the lasagna a bit better than this one, but it does the drink. Loaded with all the carbs, vits, minerals, protein, etc that you need for a day on the trail. I recommend deflating the meal with a pinhole then taping over that.
