When things get cold, snug-up in the Women\222s Insulated Jacket from Mountain Hardwear. PrimaLoft One insulation simulates the structural and effectual properties of down so you stay warm on those cold, clear days. Mountain Hardware built the side panels with Technostretch fabric to give you four-way flexibility so your torso has plenty of freedom to move when you are pistoning your way through moguls or working the trees in search of the good stuff.

  • Micro Climate Zoning offers lighter insulation in the sleeves and breathable Technostretch side panels to eliminate bulk and heat buildup
  • Dual hem drawcords let you make über -quick adjustments so you can block the snow out or loosen up to let in cool air
  • Micro-chamois lined chin guard saves your face from looking like you have razor burn

Bottom Line: Stay warm when the temp drops

drkovalcik. The shell fabric on the Zonal Jacket has a DWR (durable water repellent finish) applied to the it to repel water and weather. We do not give jackets temp ratings due to the great variation in human metabolism, layering systems, weather... but, I will say, in my opinion, that this would work well into the low 40's high 30's (Fairenheit) as a stand alone piece and even lower when layered with a shell or when combined with a fleece in a layering system. I hope this info helps!

Nice-looking jacket that might make a great insulation layer for skiing. The only hitch is that it is sized larger than normal. The cut seems to be fairly roomy, which makes the sizing feel even bigger. I am a pretty steady medium, but this medium was huge. Will exchange for a small and keep my fingers crossed.
