When your tent or sleeping bag’s zipper gives out mid-trip, the Mountain Hardwear Zipper Repair Clamp comes to the rescue. Why trash your nice down bag when this tiny little clamp can easily replace a worn slider? The Zipper Clamp comes with two YKK #5 sliders and 2 YKK #8 sliders. Simply cut a small hole near the end of the zipper coil, remove the worn slider, slip on a new one, and seal the hole with the clamp.
Bottom Line: Add the Repair Clamp to your backcountry kit.

These zips are meant to work on faulty tent zippers not the jackets. If you need your zipper repaired on your Parbat Jacket give a call to the warranty department at Hardwear.

1) yes, zippers can be replaced...at home. This kit doesn't replace a broken zipper in the field.
2) The most common problem with zipper failure is a worn out slider. If the zipper coils are not meshing together properly, it is usually because the inside of the slider is worn. This kit makes easy repairs until you can get home and replace the zipper.
