The Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Pant brings the warmth of windproof fleece to your next mountain adventure. The original softshell, WindStopper fleece gives you full protection from icy gusts while allowing your legs to breathe. Full-length side zips let you put them on and take them off over boots, skis, or crampons, making these pants ideal for ski mountaineering and changing conditions. Nylon mesh lining wicks sweat and glides over layers, while the taslan-reinforced knees and seat fend off abrasion.

Bottom Line: Like sweatpants that grew up in a Russian Olympic program.

AWESOME pants!

I just got back from a climb up Mt. Shasta with these. I wore them with a nice base layer and they were perfect for my climb. The side zips are awesome and dump heat well while on your ascent. They dry really fast which is nice. Only thing I don't/didn't like was the velcro, but I cut all of the tabs out. Awesome cold weather pant.

With all the reviews on the Windstopper Tech Jacket, where are the reviews for the pants? They are every bit as top notch as the jacket. Warm fleece interior, reinforced knees and rear, and full hip zips. There is a belt that doesn't show up in most stock photos, along with the velcro adjustment tabs at the waist. My one issue is with the hip zips. The top zip tends to work itself loose. I don't think a locking zipper is an option, since they have to completely unzip, but a zipper pull you could lock with the velcro tab would do the job. I may do this myself later. The fleece padding is thicker than the jacket, making it a bit warmer, in my opinion. Great pants, and they should get all the rave reviews the jacket does.

Hi, I am 6'2 about 208lbs, waist 36. Which size should I get, L or XL? My inseam is 34. Thanks for your help.

dga. What is your inseam? This would dictate the size more than your waist. Based on your waist size I would say you would be a large. But, if your inseam is longer you may be more comfortable with an XL. The pants have a built in webbing belt... so, if they are a little large in the waist you can crank 'em down. Hope this info helps!

Decent pants

These pants are great. They are very warm, I have worn them with out a baselayer in 20 degrees and very windy out and I was fine. There are some things I would change. There are Velcro tabs on the inside waist line that suck, if you do not tuck in your undershirt they rip you all up. I also would like to see them with the material on the knees and butt covering the entire pants, they pick up a lot of things when your in the woods. A back pocket that zipped would be nice. Other than that they are great zippers are great for venting. I am 5'10 about 200lbs and 38" waist the xl's fit great in the waist but a tad long but for me thats every pair of pants. Overall a good purchase and work well with the matching jacket.

great pair of pants. true to size. excellent quality. very warm with an under layer tight. can easily be used in the 0-10 degrees F. with exercise, these would probably be too warm above 20F
