The Mountain Hardwear Men's Wicked Long-Sleeve Tee has a comfortable relaxed fit and mind-blowing moisture wicking capability. A long-cut back makes sure nobody assumes you're here to fix the sink, and its flat-locked seams won't rub you the wrong way under a backpack's straps.
i'm just reiterating what's been said before: they're amazing shirts because they wick away sweat, even if you're a sweaty pig like me. the problem is they snag on everything in sight. we're not talking about skiing into trees causing a little fabric pull, we're talking about your hangnail accidentally pulling an inch of thread from your shoulder when you go to scratch your neck.
all that said, i own three of them...even if they look like a cat just took the p*ss out of me, they work, period, and that's good enough for me. especially on sale.
I added this to my winter hiking collection its a great first layer, it is like super light but keeps in the heat and you never sweat, be great if you have a rug on your back. Also had this on in temps around 25. its great if you hike fast and tend to sweat a little it drys as fast as you can sweat! Get it
I was looking at this shirt to take with me to Costa Rica. We are going during the rainy season which is what attracted me to the shirt. It is going to be hot though most of the time. What kind of temperature range would this shirt be best suited for.
Koolnit is a light fabric that drys super fast. I would hesitate to give it a temperature range... but know that it will dry quickly in the tropics and that is probably the most important thing...

First, I bought three of these shirts and they are very well made, the cut if fantastic as they hang very well and look good. BUT every single shirt has the same issue, the materials snags on everything and creates what looks like a tear in the material. This material snags so easily, that it even snags on other fabrics (one that my shorts are made of) I give this product only three stars. Come on, M.H. has to know this fabric does this. For the price, they could at least have woven in some anti-stink. But that's the problem with an incorporated company owned by a larger enterprise that has grown so huge profitable and greedy it's forgotten it's own roots.
I bought several shirts of different brands for my Kili climb. This shirt was the worst as it snagged on everything. I've only worn it twice and I doubt it will withstand a third wear. My backpack kept on snagging the fabric. Save your money and get something nicer like the Sugoi, Marmmot or even Carhartt long sleeves.
I use this shirt for just about everything. As a base layer for winter mountaineering to just hanging around the house. This shirt feels great against the skin smooth and loose fitting. The only down side is it will snag easily.
THIS SHIRT IS INDISPENSABLE WHEN HIKING IN COOL OR COLD WEATHER. I OWN 8 OF THESE IN DIFFERENT COLORS. DRIES VERY QUICKLY AFTER REACHING YOUR DESTINATION (USUALLY WINDY & COLD !) GREAT FIT, SOFT FABRIC, WEAR ALONE OR UNDERNEATH AS BASE LAYER.
"Let 'er rip" is right! I snagged this shirt on the corner of a folded paper bag, these shirts are snag magnets. If snags were worth a penny each these shirts would pay for themselves in a few months. Fit and feel great, but if you want to keep them in good shape don't hike in them!
This shirt feels great against the skin - smooth and loose fitting. I'm 6'1" 175lbs and I feel that I'm inbetween med and large... All is good with this shirt, except that it snags easily.
I got this shirt for my dad for his birthday a couple months ago, he absolutely loves it and tells me every time I see him. He wears it constantly and is by far his favorite shirt to wear biking alone on cool days, or as a bottom layer on colder days. He tore out the elbow crashing on his bike, but has already asked for a replacement for Christmas - if he can wait that long! The sizing fits very true.
Have used this shirt for just about everything. From using it as a base layer for winter mountaineering to just hanging around the house. Be careful around Velcro as it tends to get hung up on things and can pull the material. Buy this shirt!
Very thin and extremely light, this is a great top for climbing on those hot sunny days. I liked it since it was not too tight (not ripped enough myself to wear something painted on). On super sunny days, opt for a lighter color. I am anxious to try it out in colder weather as a baseseems perfect, albeit a tad on the pricey side. Better (thinner, cooler, more wicking) that the more common underarmor-type alternatives.
I have three of these, and use them for all my hiking and trail running. Very comfortable, with no itchy seams and a nice relaxed fit. Quick drying, very breathable, and surprisingly durable. This is the one no-brainer piece of clothing that always goes into my pack.
I really like the Mountain Hardwear Wicked T ...both the long sleeve and short. I find they make a great base layer and use them for running, biking, hiking, skiing, etc. Lightweight, great at wicking, reasonably warm. For example I rode my bike 18 miles to work at 5 am this morning, and the temps was about 33 when I left the house. I had the wicked T with a short sleeve bike jersey and a wind breaker and turned out to be perfect. I would agree with other reviews I have read that the finely woven material snags easily and so have to be cautious of that if you plan to wear it around camp. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this shirt.
This is one of the softest shirts I have ever owned - it was great for my first run around the beautiful Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, MN. The fabric behaved just as advertised, and the slate gray color was still cool in the sun. Great shirt!
Like all of the Mountain Hardwear wicking shirts, this is great. They fit large, so a medium if fine unless you are really large. I just went up Rainier in one of these as a base layer and it kept me dry and comfortable and not too hot. These shirts just dry soooo quickly as well -spread them on the rocks in the sun for 3 minutes and they are good to go (if you don't mind the smell of sweaty polypro)
I added this to my winter hiking collection its a great first layer, it is like super light but keeps in the heat and you never sweat, be great more...
