Description

Light, minimalist, and flexible so you can move down the trail like lightening.

Every ounce matters on race day, and the Mountain Hardwear Men's Ultrarefuel short weighs a feathery four ounces so you can sprint like a cheetah and bag the hole shot out of the crowd. Once the trail turns truly rugged, stretch fabric helps you cruise through technical terrain uninhibited.

  • Four-way stretch construction helps the body fabric move with you while you run
  • Quick-drying fabric moves moisture away from your skin so you feel cool, not stifled by sweat
  • Inner brief helps to control sweaty moisture and has an antimicrobial finish to reduce funk and odor
  • Micro perforations on yoke aid ventilation so air can move freely

Here's what others have to say...

whats the length on these?

whats the length on these?

The inseam is 3.5 inches - so they are half as long as the Refueler short. Definitely on the shorter side. Here is a picture of Backcountry Employees Will and Peter finishing the TransRockies 120 mile race. Will (the guy getting no love for his high five attempt) is wearing the Ultrarefueler. See his notes below. Peter is wearing The North Face Better than Naked short, and I think we can all agree that this photo is, indeed, better than 'twere he naked.

Great short

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are really nice fitting shorts. Very light and feel like you have nothing on. No chafing problems and the fabric stays dry. No complaints here.

Light and comfortable

Great running shorts. Very light and cool. I've been on runs up to 15 miles and haven't had any issues with chaffing.

Short, but not too short!

My husband needed a shorter pair of running shorts and these fit the bill perfectly. Ridiculously lightweight and breathable. He also liked that these didn't have the slit up the sides.

any pockets? zipped or velcro?

One back pocket which is horizontal and has no closure. Because of the cut things tend to get bounced out. The short has so many other great things going for it with it's anti-funk comfortable lining, super light weight with full ROM and great breath ability that if it's important, it'd be worth while to have some one sew a snap or Velcro to the pocket. I'm used to shorts from an Athletic company the begins with "N" that don't come with pockets.

Best shorts ever -

That's what my husband says. He's not a big guy, and loves the fit on these, plus that he hardly feels like he's wearing anything. Great product!
