  • 7001 PF pole system is lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant & low-maintenance
  • Color coded poles & grommet tabs & reflective starter points simplify late-night set up

Keeps you dry during the wettest of nights

This is a great little tent for what it is, allbeit on the heavy side. The tent is kind of cramped for two people, the vestibule will hold both people gear if it is placed on top of each other, which makes midnight bathroom runs quite difficult. The upsides to this tent though it that it is a truly waterproof shelter and never had any problems with blowning rain or condenstion in the morning, it held up to high (30+) gusty winds and if put in a compression sack it packs down quite nicely. This is truly a great MH designed tent, but there are things that could be improved on and better tents for the price.

Did you not have condensation on the inside edges of the tent? I recently used this tent two deep in cold weather and first night through rough winds woke in the morning to the bottom edges with condensation and positively had rain fly was tight to the ground over tent. Any ideas/comments?

Easy, light and well thought out

First, the rain fly is not the dark green in the photo- it's much nicer looking light beige and light olive two tone, which was a nice surprise. The hubbed one-pole/hooks design is so easy to put together I pitched this tent in about 2 minutes the first time. Light tent but still very sturdy, once staked out everything fits tight as a drum with thoughtful details like adjustable strapped corners on everything. VERY well made tent with plenty of space for two people of average height to sit in if facing each other. Side to side space is a little tight but hey it's a compact tent, you already knew that. Vestibule is plenty big enough for two packs and the zippers don't suck. I give it two thumbs way up. Sick tent for the price.
