Lay the easy-to-pack Mountain Hardwear Twin Arch 2 Footprint PL under your tent to prevent water from pooling underneath and to protect your tent floor from dirt and debris. Made of the same nylon material as the tent itself, the added polyurethane coating creates a waterproof barrier to prevent moisture seepage up through to the tent. If you need to shed weight for long backpacking trips, leave the tent in the car and craft a substantially lighter shelter with the tent fly, poles, and the Twin Arch 2 footprint. Mountain Hardwear calls this the Pitch Light design.

I don't have a diagram, but it's a pretty simple process. Lay the footprint down first, then when you put up the tent, the end of the tent poles go through the grommets in the footprint. You can see one of the grommets in the product picture above. Also notice the orange loop, when you set the tent on top of the footprint orange goes to orange.

What more is there to say, it is a footprint, it keeps the bottom of the tent protected from water (even on nights with constant rain the tent floor stayed bone dry) and kept the tent floor rip/tear free. Does what it is suppose to and is awesome!
