Make it an air permeable alpine ascent.
Mountain Hardwear made the Men's Torsun Pant protective, burly, and air permeable for active alpine endeavors. Unlike traditional waterproof breathable membranes, Dry.Q Elite's air permeable membrane breathes the moment you put the pant on instead of starting to breathe only when you work up a sweat. Fully taped seams enhance the pant's overall waterproofing by preventing a single snowflake from seeping through. Mountain Hardwear also equipped this pant with full-length side zips for easy on and off, an integrated belt at the waist, internal gaiters, and kick-patches for crampon-friendly cuffs.

- Q & A
Decent pants, not durable
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
I'm 5'10" 150lbs and the smalls fit well. These pants do breathe very well and appeared to be well made when they first arrived. I was a bit disappointed when I realized that they don't have belt loops, and the built in belt isn't idea.
I realized they weren't durable when I got several small holes in one of the legs from some light abrasion (mostly trees) my first time wearing them. All of the holes were of similar size and in a vertical line, which makes me think that this could be a manufacturing defect. Regardless, these pants are light, but don't seem to be durable.
