The Thermadry tight show where Mountain Hardwear's head has been lately – in your pants. With more thought than usually goes into a base layer the Thermadry eliminates seams around the hips and waist for an abrasion-free fit with a backpack or climbing harness. These pants provided an excellent base under my ski pants on a recent trip. I ordered XL and thought they might be the right size but I probably should have gone with a Large...I'm 6'3 and 205..i was surprised how much larger they were for my frame. But I still kept them and thought they worked just fine.

A bit rough and saggy in the crotch. Found myself pulling up my snowboard pants because they sagged down as movement increased. I found this to be a great casual under layer... but my UnderArmour mid weights were much better for a higher level of activity. 6-4/235lbs in XL.

backcountry.com, who is kindly sponsoring my bike trip around the globe, styled me out with this pair of tights which are perfecto for temps down to the single digits and up to the 50's. they somehow "know" the weather and adjust!

These tights have almost no stretch to them. I tried 2 sizes and neither worked. Once you get moving and sweating, they stick to your legs even more. No I'm not fat. 5'10'' 185 lbs. I've come to expect really well thought out gear from Mountain Hardwear, so these surprised me. Maybe they're designed that way for a reason, but I don't like them.
