The Supernatural 55 Backpack uses Mountain Hardwear's highly mobile FitLock harness system to support your load while allowing you to move freely every step of the way. The lightweight and strong 210D Cordura fabric shaves ounces while adding durability. The Supernatural 55 Backpack includes many lash points for overloading on extended trips and base camp approaches. With traditional and leashless ice tool holders, this Mountain Hardwear pack makes a great choice for technical winter climbing as well as summer backpacking.
Bottom Line: Don't be limited by your pack's suspension.

The bag gets two thumbs down. The marketeers my middle finger. This thing don't work. Heavy loads are not meant to be comfortable, they are suppose to be practical - huge padded backing is both heavy and restricting. No good for climbing be it winter, summer, or when posing about such in an attempt to get your leg over a pretty philly in the pub. The internal steel framing system makes the pack quite wide around the hips - making your moves that much more contorted. MH pumps out some solid gear, but they need testing practitioners with a sturdy spine when it comes to pack design. Give up any thoughts for purchase, you want the BD Dolomite.

I have never used this pack so I dont know the comfort of it. but when I choose a pack to go backpacking, I am looking for something 3500cu or more, and less than 4lbs. this pack is way to heavy for its purpose. Bottom line, not a good pack for anything and don't make the mistake of buying a pack online before trying it out at rei first

In all fairness toward Mountain Hardwear... You gave this pack a bad name but it was not intended for climbing. On their website it is in the Backpacking section, not the Alpine Sport section. Their description of the Supernatural states,
"...Fully custom, highly stable body-hugging shape integrates the shaping and support of a FitLock harness directly with a stiff, load bearing back panel..."
Perhaps this was all changed after you tried it, but its seems accurrate.
