From stormy powder days to bluebird groomer cruising, the Mountain Hardwear Men’s Stance Pant protects you from the elements. The Conduit-laminated herringbone shell fabric keeps wet snow and slush from sneaking inside, and removable suspenders and adjustable waist tabs help you dial in the fit. Full side zips help ventilate and make for quick on and off, and the reinforced scuff guards hold up to sharp ski edges.

Bottom Line: A simple, stylish ski pant for any day on the hill.

how warm are these ski pants since it only has a nylon inner linning--

do you have to wear a bottom base layer or tights underneath of these? how is the fit...athletic/tight or baggy?
how is the durability over time?

The inner lining is not so much an insulator but more of a way to move moisture away from your body and feel more comfortable. This is not an insulated pant, you would need to layer, Mountain Hardwear makes some awesome layers too.

They're fitted, slightly athletic, not hipster tight or thug baggy. Knees are articulated, so you can move in them without noticing them.

Durable? Mountain Hardwear's Ascent Micro Herringbone AXF is ready for whatever you got buster.

Mountain Hardwear (MH) stance pant

Great pant, go a size up if your between sizes, I typically wear a L, but MH usually tight, so the XL fit prefect. Full leg zips allow for quick dressing and undressing and the suspenders keep them in place, a no frills ski pant.

I'm considering these pants but concerned about all of the negative reviews on the previous years model. I'm not a good skier (yet), so I spend a fair amount of time in the snow. Would I be safer going with the Exposure II bib...to match my jacket? Suggestions!?!

Kip. The Exposure II Bib is a great choice if you spend a lot of time in the snow. It's made with a burly fabric and provides lots of coverage. With that said, I have been using these pants for a few years and been happy they just don't have as much coverage as a bib. Hope this helps!

Whats the difference between this pant and the MH stance pant

Whats the difference between this pant and the MH stance pant that is 50% off. Does it have the same problems/complaints the other one has?

awgosling. The difference is that the one that is more deeply discounted is last seasons pant and this pant is current. The design has not changed but it is a great pant. I have been skiing in them for two seasons now...
