Code: WINTER20

Description

All the serious features of an expedition bag, built for warmer weather.

Your Mountain Hardwear Spectre Sleeping Bag laughs in the face of wet weather and mild temperatures, and that means that you'll sleep like a baby no matter what Mother Nature drops on your doorstep. All the serious features are here: a waterproof breathable shell, a hood engineered for maximum insulation loft, and water-repellent down insulation that fights off heat-robbing moisture. You'll need a thicker sleeping bag for the bitter cold of fall through early spring, but for everything else you can reach for the Spectre.

  • Dry-Q Elite shell is waterproof, windproof, and extremely breathable to allow moisture to escape freely and keep the insulation dry
  • Q.Shield down insulation boasts a water-repellent treatment so it can resist moisture buildup that would otherwise inhibit lofing and warmth
  • 800-fill down provides the maximum level of warmth for super-cold condition
  • Laminated, double external zipper flap keeps water and cold air out
  • Six-chamber ergonomic hood design maintains even loft around your head for consistent warmth
  • Ergonomic draft collar seals heat inside the bag with internal drawcords and a soft two-piece design

Here's what others have to say...

what is the temperature rating on this...

what is the temperature rating on this bag? every where i look it changes do you guys know the REAL rating. also much difference between this one and the old one?

EN ratings are the best guide, but they are confusing. EN ratings are the same for all bags (regardless of "gender" of the bag) but the ratings themselves switch genders!

Here's the lowdown:

EN COMFORT: Comfort for a standard WOMAN in the bag.

EN LOWER LIMIT: Comfort for a standard MAN in the bag.

EN EXTREME: Survival for a standard WOMAN in the bag.

So... regardless of the gender of the bag, if you're a woman, look at the "EN COMFORT" rating and if you're a dude, look at the EN LOWER LIMIT rating... which in this case is 19 degrees.
