The Mountain Hardwear Men's Solar Nylon Vented Sun Hat is a mandatory piece of headwear for hot, sunny environments like the desert or the line for ice cream. Tasty treats or nasty heat notwithstanding, the Vented Sun Hat uses mesh vents and a CoolMax headband to keep the sweat off your brow. A darker underside to the brim won't reflect glare back into your eyes. Mountain Hardwear rates the Solar Nylon Vented Hat at a UPF of 50. The full coverage brim is 3.5in across the front and 4in across the back, so the sun won't sting your neck either.

Best hiking hat ever. This thing has been with me on the summit of Mount Whitney and the depths of the Grand Canyon. When and if it finally dies, I will just have to hope that the new model can fill its massive shoes.

I used it in West Texas. It shaded the sun well and was not hot to wear. What more could you ask for? It works fine. Buy it.

I needed a hat to walk around the golf course for three hours while my sons were playing golf. The vents make this hat cool and the wide brim keeps the sun off my face and neck. I am very glad I purchased this hat.

Great for playing tennis on a hot hardcourt. No problems after a month or so. Breathes well.
