Description

Innovative, tough, and lightweight.

The Mountain Hardwear Skyledge 2.1 Tent features light weight and plenty of room for two people to move around in their sleep. Maybe even one with the jimmy legs. The Skyledge is also impressively stable, due to Mountain Hardwear's proprietary Evolution Tension Arch design.
  • Super-lightweight DAC NSL aluminum poles
  • Fully taped fly, taped perimeter seam, welded corners, and welded guy-clip anchors for guaranteed watertight construction
  • Evolution Tension Arch for stability with fewer poles
  • Lightweight buckles and webbing reduce tent weight
  • SVX window for brighter interior and ability to see outside without opening the tent
  • Dual dry vestibule entry so you don't track snow and mud into the tent
  • Pitch light configuration allows you to set up a shelter with just the footprint, poles, and fly for a 2.5 pound weight reduction

Camping underneath the stars with the Skyledge 2.1 This tent sets up in minutes.. zippers work great.. dig the little window.. I haven't used this in harsh weather yet, but so far so good.

Awesome tent!

Had this for about 3 months now and used it heaps, including a 3 week bike trip around Tasmania. Really easy to put up, and comfortable. It rained all night one at Cradle mountain and didn't feel a drip, was even surrounded by a lake of water and was completely dry. Sweet as.

pretty damn good tent

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Extremely easy to set up. I am impressed with the light weight. Double vestibule is the way to go. Great Ventilation. Inside pockets galore. Oddly enough it has not rained on my tent yet (Mt Rainier and Olympic N.P.), so no comment yet. Be weary of the marketed footprint - it has held up so far though.

i am totally sold on this tent. i have been looking to replace my MHW Mountain Jet 2 and this one reminds me a lot of it ( loved that tent btw). I can't wait until this tent is back in stock. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures!

we are as happy as we could be

We love it so far! Tried it under heavy rain, seven days of heavy rains in fact. We were dry and happy.
I had read a lot of reviews saying there is not enough space for two. My husband and I, we have found it to be spacious and comfortable. (We are not very big ourselves, mind you :) The vestibules are also very spacious, they fit our backpacks and the dog (husky) and the dog's pack, no problem.
The weight of this tent is a marvel. It also doesn't take much space in the backpack. We don't use the sack, just stuff it inside and the poles are strapped to the side of the backpack.

P.S. the window is a cool feature! It can help you not to miss a beautiful sunrise:)
