This shell jacket is armed with waterproof, highly breathable Dry.Q Elite technology to fend off storms. Stretch panels at the hood, side panels, and underarms allow mobility for those reachy holds or taking in slack ASAP. A four-way adjustable hood protects your head while leaving vision open and clear. And this climbing jacket features backpack and harness compatible pockets and inner stow pockets for goodies and gear. Drop down the mini core vents to regulate your temp, and stash wet gloves in your pockets that are equipped with the Pocket DrainPort system.

bought it for hiking/riding/ in decent weather, but after reading the blurbs below, i might take it into the abyss.!
its SO light words fail me.
the weight differnce between this and everything else ive tried is huge. its quite disconcerting bec it doesn feel like its going to be warm enough, but so far it is although ive not tried it in antyhing harsh yet mind you..
when they say breatahble. they mean it. this thing is crazy. u need a wind cheater underneath tho id imagine ,marino wool wont cut it, ull freeze to death in an instant.
i boughth the under armour cold gear thermal to wear this season , but not had a chance to combine them yet, im figuring this will be the nuts combo. for most days that arnt blowing like a typhoon.for that ive got the patagonia.
this will see plenty of wear in good conditions tho . the over all fit is good, the pockets are good, the feel is amazing, nothing to detract t about this , colour is awsome as well, light blue one.

I picked this up for split boarding in Maine. Our winters have been pretty mild and my old jacket was just too warm. I absolutely love the quality of mountain hardware, it's everything I was looking for in a shell. Light, warm, great looking highly functional. I've sold 3 since people have seen mine.

Bought this jacket for a 20 mile one day trek of Mt marcy in Nov.
The jacket is VERY light and tough . I had this over my optimus jacket and a few other thin layers . It took the wind and snow and burped after :) I am 5'9 160 and it fit over all those layers fine . Very easy to dump air under the arms the hood clamps down tight . We got hit by 80 MPH Plus winds on the summit my hood never came up and that was with zero cover . Will hold its own against any other high end shell made . I took this to the extreme

TrailsonGot a size large . I was able to fit a down hooded jacket and two additional layers under it . Sorry for the late reply hope that helps .

I'm 6'5", but only 210lbs (give or take). Is the XL form fitting around your body? How about the sleeves, do they come down to OR down past your wrists? I struggle to find jackets because I need xl body but, often times, and depending on brand and model, xxl sleeves and length.
