The Mountain Hardwear Rock Sack Bivy is an ideal ultralight shelter for alpine and big-wall climbing. Small ledges in the mountains give you few options for setting up your shelter. With the Rock Sack Bivy, all you need is enough room to lay down. This pole-less shelter is made of ultralight Gore-Tex PacLite and weighs only 1lb 2oz. Two small zippered ports at the waist allow you to be tied in at either side, so you don't roll off your ledge at night. This Mountain Hardwear bivy sack also has a UVX window on the hood to keep the inside a little brighter and let you check the weather without opening your shelter.
Bottom Line: At only 1lb 2oz, the Mountain Hardwear Rock Sack Bivy weighs less than most jackets and lets you stay tied in at bivys.
