To put it simply, the Mountain Hardwear Women's Quark Jacket shames other ultralight technical shells. This extremely waterproof breathable jacket employs only a soft tricot lining and a Conduit laminate for an unprecedented light weight and backcountry readiness. At an unbelievable 9oz, the Quark Jacket practically floats in your pack, but it seals out alpine precipitation with a no-nonsense 20K-rated waterproof coating and welded seams. This featherweight shell has all the features required for comfort on ski tours or mountaineering pursuits, including superlight welded Underarm zips, a roll-away hood, and articulated sleeves. What the Quark lacks? Bulky shell fabric and the weight that comes with it.
Bottom Line: The Mountain Hardwear Quark Jacket redefines ultralight shell.
