Quark II Jacket - Men's

Obviously, you don’t have room in your pack for an old-fashioned fisherman’s sou’wester jacket; however, you can grab the Mountain Hardwear Men’s Quark Jacket and get the same protection from the elements in a compact, lightweight package. Using only super soft tricot and a Conduit laminate, this whisper-light jacket keeps out the rain and breathes so you don’t get clammy inside the shell either (another advantage over waterproof slickers).

  • Waterproof welded seams stretch, so you don’t sacrifice freedom of movement when you layer up
  • Superlight, welded underarm zips let you dump heat during aerobic activities or in warm weather
  • Attached, rollaway hood adjusts easily with one hand for a custom fit
  • Micro-Chamois-lined chin guard protects your chin against chafing
  • Hook-and-loop tabs on cuffs dial in the fit
  • Dual hem drawcords seal in warmth and keep out wetness
  • Chest-high hand-warmer pockets give you full access to essential items, even when you’re wearing a harness or a pack

Bottom Line: Cutting-edge rain gear.

Stimulus with a HOOD!

I wanted to be clear and let the folks know who have discovered the Stimulus Jacket from Mountain Hardwear that this is the FULL jacket version with hood, obviously, of the Stimulus. Same fabric, same reflectivity, breathability, and packability. Enjoy!

Does this fit a size smaller like the Stimulus does? I'm normally a Small (5'7", 140, 37" chest), but I couldn't get the Small stimulus to zip in the store it was so small.

a feather!

First impressions: Holy smokes this thing is light! My XL weighed in at 9oz. They material is very supple. This is replacing a very worn Marmot Precip which I loved. Storm flap is just a stiff piece of material, no velcro tabs. Has good length (Im almost 6-3) in the arms and overall length. My first piece of technical MH gear, looking fwd to seeing how it works. I am a minimalist hiker and the rainshell is often used for warmth over a long sleeve midwt top for onthemove clothing. Will bump to 5star if it performs well. The color is my only complaint and pushes my "function over form" belief to the edge of the envelope, I look like a european hitman LOL.
