what are the dimensions of this bag? Will it carry an ipad?

Mark. The dimensions of the PR Bag = 10.0" x 8.5" x 3.0". The dimensions of the iPad = 9.56"x 7.47"x .5" ... so, it should fit just right. One thing to note is that it does not have a lot of padding built in so if your are tossing your PR Bag with iPad inside around... be easy on it! Hope this info helps.
