For use in cool weather activities of all sorts, the Mountain Hardwear Powerstretch Gloves are tough to beat. These fleece gloves were constructed with an articulated fit to give your fingers the freedom they crave. Their close fit and seamless fingertips make them incredibly comfortable as liners on icy cold ski days. Wear them smooth side out for maximum warmth and smooth side in for a durable outer glove.

Bottom Line: For warmth, stretch, and all-around versatility, the Mountain Hardwear Powerstretch Gloves top the charts.

part of my hiking and backpacking kit

By:
February 3, 2011

These gloves have been part of my hiking and backpacking kit for several years now, and have held up pretty well. They keep my hands warm while sitting in camp down to the 40s, but after that my hands need to go in my jacket pockets. While on the move, they provide plenty of warmth.

As others have mentioned, the fabric is stretchy and comfortable, and works well while using my trekking poles. And at only one ounce, they are highly recommended.

Great lightweight or liner

Great fit and functionality as a light glove or as a liner. My only suggestion would be a lightly reinforced fingers and palm.

Great Glove-Liner or Lightweight-Glove

By:
January 8, 2008

I use these gloves for trail running, hiking or during other outdoor activities that don't get my hands wet. The stretchy material provides a comfortable snug fit without a lot of bulk. The low-profile-snug fit allows finger dexterity when you need to tie your shoes, your waste strap or pick up your keys. Shortfall; no tacky surface on the palm or fingers makes driving or gripping things difficult. All-in-all they are a great glove liner or lightweight glove!
