Mountain Hardwear kept the Pavo Visor Beanie nice and simple because there are already enough blinged-out hats to sink a battle ship. Instead of going overboard with the flashy stuff, Mountain Hardwear stuck with warm, quick-drying acrylic fabric and a short visor.
Bottom Line: The basics.

it's subjective but, people with large heads won't like this beanie too much. I love MH gear, and it's hard enough for me to find a beanie that actually fits my noggin, so me thinking of ordering the large pavo is just silly without trying it on. But.. my nephew loves it!

M.H. did it right. this beanie hits the spot. you can stuff it in your jacket pocket before you hit the slopes and whip it out just before you hit the pub so you dont flash the helmet hair. the brim is easy to form and the large fits my 60cm dome great.

no fleece liner, but the hat is comfy still and lets your head breathe well.

I'm a big Mountain Hardwear fan, and this hat has only solidified that stance. I'd asked the question before buying if it was fleece lined, but it really doesn't matter (to me) because the acrylic material isn't itchy or uncomfortable at all (as Jason answered - He speaks he truth).
The only thing I wasn't expecting, was that it more than covered my ears - which is great mind you, but my previous brim beanie was fit on the small side, and I wasn't used to this larger fit at first. I almost returned the Large for a Medium. I stuck with it though, and I'm glad I did. It's super warm and easy to stash in a pocket and take everywhere.
